Terms of Service

About us

Auto-Glo Detailing is a sole-trader business based at CV3 6JH, Coventry, offering mobile car detailing and ceramic coatings across Warwickshire and the Solihull area (roughly a 20-mile radius). "We", "us" and "our" mean Auto-Glo Detailing. "You" means the customer.

Bookings

All work is by booking only. A booking is confirmed when we've agreed a date, time and location with you in writing (email or message). Working hours are 8am – 8pm, seven days a week subject to availability.

Deposits & payment

• For larger jobs (paint enhancement, paint correction, ceramic coatings, new car protection) we may ask for a deposit to hold the date.
• The balance is due on completion, on the day of the service, unless agreed otherwise.
• We accept bank transfer, card and cash. Invoices are issued on request.

Cancellations & rescheduling

• Need to move your booking? No problem — just let us know as early as you can.
• More than 48 hours' notice: any deposit is refundable or moved to the new date.
• Less than 48 hours' notice or no-show: deposits are non-refundable to cover the lost day.
• We may need to reschedule due to extreme weather (heavy rain, freezing temperatures, high winds), as some services aren't safe to carry out in those conditions. We'll always rebook you ASAP.

Pricing

Prices marked "from" are our starting prices. The final price depends on the size, condition and finish of the vehicle. We'll always confirm the price with you in writing before we start work — no hidden charges, no nasty surprises.

Scope of work

We'll do exactly what's described in your booking confirmation. If we spot extra work that would benefit your car (heavier defects, additional decontamination, interior issues), we'll always quote you before doing anything extra — never just add it on.

Mobile service — what we need from you

• A safe, legal place to park and work on your vehicle for the duration of the job (paint enhancement and ceramic coatings can take a full day, 10–12 hours).
• Access to your driveway or off-street parking is ideal. We can't safely work on a public highway.
• Where possible: outdoor water and a 13A power socket. We carry our own water and power for most jobs but it's not always feasible.
• Shelter from direct sun and heavy rain helps massively, especially for polishing and coating work — a covered driveway, carport or garage is gold.

Ceramic coating warranty

Ceramic coatings come with a manufacturer-backed durability period (1 to 7 years depending on the coating you choose). We honour that warranty as long as:

• The vehicle is maintained by Auto-Glo (typically an annual or six-monthly maintenance wash and inspection).
• The vehicle hasn't been put through automated roadside car washes, brush washes or jet-wash tunnels — those will ruin a coating very quickly.
• The vehicle hasn't been resprayed, repaired or modified in a way that affects the coated panels.
• Damage isn't down to accident, vandalism, bird lime or tree sap that's been left to etch into the coating.

Liability

We carry full public liability insurance and take huge care with every vehicle. We'll take responsibility for any damage we cause through our negligence. We can't be held responsible for pre-existing defects, mechanical issues, loose trim, failing clear coat, or damage caused by previous poor washing — we'll always point this out before we start and document with photos.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that can't legally be limited.

Complaints

Not happy? Tell us. We'd much rather hear about a problem than have you leave a bad review — and 99% of the time we can put it right on the spot.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
